Typical people behaviour on alighting on the platform

Posted 01-05-2009 at 07:48 AM by sunayna

Typically, people come out of the train and act in the following ways

LOST – They get down on their own will but will look as if they got down by mistake. I have been patient with such people, observed them, none of them get back on the train as I assume they would.

RAJDHANI – They are amongst the first 3-4 to get down. They know exactly where to go and how to get there and will not worry about troubling people in front of them for getting there.
And beware if they get down towards the end, then god save you. They will trouble everyone … errr… I guess it doesn’t matter in which order they get off… they just trouble people.

GROUP – These people … they think that no one else has anything better to do but should be playing audience to them. They will get off and await for the whole gang to get off. They will not move from their place with little realisation that the rest can’t get off until they move forward.

Some differences to cherish

Posted 28-04-2009 at 09:08 PM by sunayna

Different ppl have different ways of communication. Some are good at expressing themselves verbally; they will talk and vent their feelings and will be done with it. While most are not very good with confrontations… like me, they will text message their feelings if possible or not disclose their real feelings at all, simply write about it in the diary, take the pressure away from their heart and forget about it.

Some might sing their blues away by composing a song on their feelings and some might dance their way to happiness.

It’s strange how common these venting styles are and yet how uncommon or difficult it is to deal with them.

Objectivity

Posted 19-04-2009 at 03:31 PM by sunayna

Every profession has its pro’s and con’s. Every profession has a chance to cheat. Every professional is faced with a dilemma where he wants to help but he can’t. I am in HR, Recruiting candidates for the company is part of my job profile. There are some candidates who are excellent when it comes to job profile, enthusiasm levels and a whole lot of other factors but are low on ENGLISH SPEAKING SKILLS since they are from the lower strata of the society. There are times when I listen to their story and want to help them out. But I can’t since my hands are tied. The feeling of helplessness doesn’t leave me for days. I wonder how doctors manage. Even if there is no relation with the patient, doesn’t it break their heart to see someone die? Amitabh bachchan in Anand is one such case. I guess this is where the world’s most annoying word comes into place – OBJECTIVITY.

very touching article of yours. Objectivity is a purposeful word of life. It is a mission to be accomplished.

Happiness

Posted 11-04-2009 at 10:59 PM by sunayna

There are some days… when u feel as if the whole world is just great. Everything feels correct as if, everything that is happening is RIGHT. You feel as if it is in sync with everything.

I had one of those days a few days back.
Everything was gr8. Family, Friends, office, society, personal commitments… everyone of them was happy. Everyone around me was happy. I was happy.
it felt as if no problem existed. or probably i was having partial amnesia.

i don’t know how it started either.
i got up, don’t remember much happening while i got ready, 2 things i remember are, i felt good and that i was happy.
i crossed the road and there was a butterfly that flew past me. Beautiful neon blue polka dots on brownish background. looked lovely.

then in the train – don’t remember much,
at office – everyone was …. i don’t know how to put it, but i was happy.

here is the best part, i was waiting outside the washroom for a friend, and a moth was flying near the light. i obviously, had nothing better to do, so watched it, then it came near me. i watched it, it came on my shoulder and my whole mind shouted “Happiness is like a butterfly; the more you chase it, the more it will elude you, but if you turn your attention to other things, it will come and sit softly on your shoulder.”

My favorite color

Posted 01-04-2009 at 10:33 PM by sunayna

One of my good friends asked me about my favorite colour. I quickly said Pink. Too quickly, Perhaps! Pink, or to be specific, Pastel pink and please note, never baby pink used to be my most favoritest color. There was a friend in college who was so bugged after knowing this that he would tease me for hours about it. If I walked with him, he would make sure that he would point everything in pink and I would beat him.

I don’t know how I grew out of this fascination with the colour pink… but I thought I had. I don’t really have pink in my wardrobe. Nor do I have a pink bag or a pink bottle or a pink … anything. I think the object’s characteristics determine which colour it will look good in. So, I thought that I was no longer fascinated with pink. But maybe women never do.
I cant think of anything to comment…

any yeah.. i did not understand your last line..

Everything is growing taller

Posted 28-03-2009 at 11:07 PM by sunayna

I never had a height problem… never ever until now. When I was growing up, I was taller than most of the people i knew. I guess that i even had a slight hunch. People always told me that i was TALL… and that i would never get married. i was very happy about the fact and wanted to be tall. When i crossed my Mami, i was very very happy, i would go stand right next to her and obviously feel proud. I know i am vain. Then i crossed my mom’s height and my i was on cloud 9. When i reached 10th std i sort of stopped growing. I didn’t notice it at first and when i did i realized that all the boys in my family were growing taller than me… and so was my sis… dad is already taller… so mom and mami is my only hope. Recently, i went to my elder mami’s house and the fridge too is taller than me. I made a comment on it and everyone burst out laughing. the fridge at my house was my height and we got a new fridge this gudi padwa. guess what?

  1. whats your height of “D Fridge”.. LOL

The Bucket List – part 2

Posted 24-03-2009 at 08:19 PM by sunayna

There are some things in life that you just have to wait for. I did. I waited for almost 2 yrs for watching “The bucket list”. My friend was supposed to download it for me since a long time but we just couldn’t set a date to meet. The movie is fantastic. I will be watching it again sometime soon.
Sometimes in your life you wait and in anticipation, you think so much about the thing that it grows into something lot better than it actually is. Somewhere halfway in the movie, I realized that I was actually watching it and I realized that even after this long a wait I was soooo very happy “inside” to watch it. The movie is amazing, no my life didn’t drastically change after watching it and I don’t think it will but I absolutely love watching Jack Nicholson.

For a few things in life, however trivial or big, important or unimportant, once gets postponed.. always gets postponed…We are masters coming with stories to justify our stand.. friend did not download and so on… but then we need to realise they are stories..

I used to do this with a lot things.. one common thing we all do, is replying emails.. we think we will reply later.. and do it really well… we will comment on this blog.. but later.. because I wanna write real good stuff.. right now is not the time..

But my dear friend.. right time would never come…

at a stance I wondered why you are preparing bucket list..later I got annoyed cos you are talking abt movie and in that you are promoting piracy..

indeed the movie is beautiful.. would like to suggest one more.. try to watch “the world Fastest Indian” a kiwi movie staring Sir Antony Hopkins.
